Sex & Relationships

Healthy relationships are an important part of a healthy sex life, what ever your gender, age, ethnicity or sexual orientation. Sometimes it can be difficult to understand what “normal” behaviour is, in a healthy relationship you should feel safe, respected and free to be yourself.

Some behaviours are never ok in a relationship.

It is never acceptable for someone to pressure someone to do something they are not happy with. This could include:

  • Pressure to send a nude photo to someone
  • Pressure to have sex if you don’t want to
  • Pressure to have certain types of sex that you feel uncomfortable about, such as doing something someone has seen in a porn film

If someone makes you do something you don’t want to, makes you feel scared, intimidated or tries controlling you, it’s not acceptable and is never OK. You can find more information about what is and is not a respectful relationship here.

You can read more information on the Disrespect Nobody website.
